New Hope Christian Academy Head of School

New Hope Christian Academy, an independent Christian elementary school in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Head of School that is committed to Christian principles and academic rigor.  The Head of School will oversee all operations and academic instruction and is responsible for maintenance of the school’s culture and the viability of the school over time. 

He/she will be the primary external representative of the school and will report directly to the New Hope Board of Directors.  The applicant should have an advanced degree and administrative/leadership experience ideally in an urban public, charter or independent school.

New Hope Christian Academy is an urban college preparatory elementary school that began in 1996.  It has grown to a current enrollment of 420 students from grades Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade.  There are 94 graduates of New Hope who are attending local independent middle and high schools of their choice and still receive the New Hope scholarship and support. 

New Hope provides students with a challenging intellectual and spiritual education grounded in the knowledge of God as revealed in Jesus Christ and attested to in the Scriptures. New Hope places an emphasis on the immediate community in which the school is located and seeks to provide the highest standards for intellectual and spiritual learning by working closely with each student, their family, and their church within the community.

At New Hope, the future leaders of our city, state, country, and world are challenged daily with a rigorous academic curriculum built upon a strong Christian foundation.  Our goal is to equip each child with the necessary tools to effectively pursue the vocation to which the Lord will lead them.  Emphasis is placed on high school graduation and the pursuit of a college education.
